Default HELP...THREW A ROD!

So my brother just threw a rod (i think) in his Automatic 96 civic 4 door. I just wrecked my 96 Manual Civic CX hatchback.

Is it possible to swap motors?

Is it possible to use my parts to fix the problem?

I believe all D-series are interchangeable. So it's a direct swap.

Just curious, but how do you "think" he threw a rod. Either he did or he didn't. Usually a gaping hole in the block and/or catastrophic engine issues are a result, so it's not like it's easy to misdiagnose.

But yes. The engines are interchangeable.

Yeah....thanks for your replies.....both cars are here now that I can look at them. And don't call people slow when you don't know who they are? You are either here to help or to start trouble.

the swap will work fine .. all you gotta do is switch out the motor itself and bolt the other tranny on
