help with stock wheel specs!!
I bought a set of 14 inch steelies with tires of craigslist which supposedly came off a civic...
tried it on my car but it doesnt fit at all.the bore is 1/2 off!!!
and there are these number stamped on the wheel!! i just want to know what kind of car these wheels came from???
J14X5 1/2 J DOT CMC7 01VY16
googled it but no luck!!!

I wouldn't know just from seeing some random steelies. Not to mention your first post was confusing to read.
I don't know of any Civics that use 114.3, but I know some Accords do.
That guy seems to think they came off an Accord though.

that was why i posted those numbers..maybe someone would have better luck finding the answer!!

he said 4x100 = civic
4x144 = accord

He actually said Civics take 110 and 114. I've never heard of 144, but I assume it's a typo (before anyone finds that info and thinks it's correct).
Did you try posting in the wheel section?

^^^^^^^ there is no way to just look at a wheel and know wat car it came off of. why dont you just ask the prson you bought it from, i thimk they might have a clue.
