Help with Stock Alarm
I have a 98 Civic with the stock alarm. When I tried to unlock the car with the remote this morning, the doors did not unlock. I opened the door with the key (original and spare) but I could not turn off the alarm. The ignition turns on, but the car won't start, and the alarm will not turn off. The dealer wants me to tow the car in. Any alternate suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yes I did, and the light on the transmitter lights up when I press a button. I should have stated that in my post. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Hmm, then maybe it's an alarm malfunction. I had that happen once in an old car I had, took it back to the place that installed it and got a new alarm.
