When my motor is cold and i turn the key to start it, it will just turn over and over and the CEL is lit up. I will then turn the key to off then on the off and back and forth playing the game with it. then out of no where i will hear a humming sound and the CEL will turn off and it will start right up. I am thinking the humming sound is the fuel pump but i am not sure. the time it takes for the humming/CEL to turn off varies from time to time, sometimes it will take so long that it drains the battery and i have to hook it up to start it. once started i have NO issues with the car. It has become pretty annoying.

yea i was going to try that this afternoon, i think it is 43 for the fuel system. But the CEL goes off when the humming sound is finnished and doesnt stay on while the car is started.

Reset the ECU to see whether code 43 returns.

But more important, resolder your main relay and sand clean and tighten the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing.

Ok...now i am pretty new at this, but not full retard. can you tell me where to find the main relay and the thermostat housing with the G101 on it. Thanks

Main relay sits under the dash on the driver side by the fuse box. To get to the thermo housing follow your lower radiator hose.

when you hear the humming sound is the fuel pump primeing, check the basics fuses,relays,grounds,and cover any other basics found in the frequent ask ?.i . if all that fails you might be looking at a bad ECM thats because i had the same problem another honda tech member had and read his thread about his fuel pump primeing on or not at all.

get the ecu to shoot that code again,
use service manual diagnostic flowchart to diagnose and repair
