Help: Squeeling belt
I searched around but couldn't find anything usefull.
Whenever I start my 92 VX the belt squeels real loud for a couple seconds then stops. It also on occassion (but rarely) will do the same thing at stop lights until I give it a little bit of gas. I checked the tension on the belt it's definetly not too loose so what else could be problem here?

Re: Help: Squeeling belt (Lamb)
In time the grippy Rubber BELT gets hard and glazed and starts to slip
For a cheap fix, you can pull the belt and rough sand it but it'll start to squeek again within the next 1K miles or so<<< Can't UN HARDEN the belt.

Yeah, or you can just get a new belt...not too much money, but thats if the belt is old. Spray some wd-40 on the bearings and ****....like was stated previously, check all belts y0!
