HELP!!Squealing Noise When I Start My Car?
Hi, everytime i start my car, 1993 honda civic with a b16 swap, the area around the alternator squeals for about 1-3 seconds, and sometimes longer. sometimes, at the start it squeals then stops but when i drive it squeals again, so i have to hit the gas then it stops.
only about 5% of times that i have started the car withouth it squealing. lol
what could be the problems? loose or tight belts? need to change my alternator? any other suggestions? thanks!

loosen your belt. clean the pulleys, then make the belts tighter. But not over tight.

make sure you have the bottom bolt in... when i first installed my motor way back when.. i lost a bolt driving.. went back picked it up had it in the car forever not knowing what it went to till my belts started going crazy and kept loosening. soo check make sure belts are tight. and both bolts are installed and snug. also they have a spray ... to clean it. may help.

Hey guys,
My car's making a noise from a specific place and it seems like this specific problem but I'm too lazy to check and see if I'm right and/or take five minutes to fix it. Does anyone want to use their mental-abilities to fix it from their house so I don't have to stop jerking off? It would really be best if you could bring me a beer too.
Thanks.
Go check your damn car. Touch the belt. If it's loose, tighten it, if it's ripped, replace it.
