Help With Speedometer> went crazy
 

Ok i have a 94 hatchs si and its all stock, and i was coming down my street today and the speedo caught my eye went it shot to 40mph and 60mp and kept twithing all around? and it kept doing it? no engine light came on, what could cause this, i was thinking the speed sensor but havnt checked yet. ty

your probly right and instead of sitting in front of the cpu you shouldve checked your speed sensor ha ha ha ha ha h

I have the same problem and i'm sure someone knows what the problem is.

It is kinda cool to hit 120 in .5 sec though

it might be warning your alternator is crapping out. my car did that on the highway in the rain, then my alterator self desructed b/c water seeped into the contact, the wire blew up and i had to replace it.

check all your grounds, a loose ground will do this too
