Default help with speedometer?

My speedometer hasn't worked in about 9 months, and the rest of my cluster does...it's not a sensor because I went through a swap and it didn't change at all. The needle will move around all over the place sometimes but is usually sitting at zero. If anyone has an idea of what the problem could be, some help would be really appreciated....thanks.

I would obtain another cluster, and try and borrow one from a friend...

Also verify you are not throwing the speed sensor ecu code from your ecu.

the ecu may not have have the CEL come on, but will expose the code if you pull it and it's throwing it.

it may just be the cluster you have, as I would get another one to verify..

good luck.

I know you said you checked all the harnesses, but there is a harness on the differential that reads the speedo gear. Make sure all the wires are good and in there. I had a problem with this before and I believe it is a white wire going into the plug that was pulling out of the harness. Good luck.

take out the speed sensor plug'
snip the wires change the connectors and pop it back in put some electro diode and stick those suckers back in should be corrosion from moisture causing the connectors to not get any signal.. good luck

I agree with EG+MONKEY. It sounds like the speedo sensor or the plug it sits it.
