I know the blocks are not identical. I'm not sure on the compatibility but I would guess no.

Sounds fishy putting a 1.8L crank into a 1.6L motor.

i know!!! thats what my friend told me.. he said it may not fit properly/wont work... but the mechanic i know said it would...so am traing to find out....the whats right...

or you think i should just leave the crank alone and put type r piston and camshafts!!! but if i do this would it be safe on a supercharger boosting 10psi (JRSC HIGH-BOOST) rated at 230 on a stock b16 with basic bolt ons

nothing is good with a supercharger... just my .02 turbo ftw!

edit: unless it has more than 4 cylinders

If your just worried about the integrity of the crank, get it balanced and leave it alone.

There are 400-600whp hondas using stock cranks. They're bulletproof.

ok..right on so you think i should just change my pistons!!! i just dont want to go turbo because.. i heard you need to baby the danm thing and its hard to tone and i dont know beside i drive my car every day!!! and on the other hand the JRSP high boost put 230whp on a stock b16.. more reliable than turbo.. but i know turbo is quicker..
QUESTION if am doing the JRSC can the BUDDY CLUB III camshafts work or its better to use turbo cams?

I think you should inspect the whole engine for wear and just replace parts. Or buy a new longblock.

i got like 80k on my motor!! but i was planning to rebuild it thats why the guy at the shop told me if i wanted him to put gsr crank... so you think is better to just rebuild the motor.... but should i use the JRSC HIGH BOOST..i heard its good... my options are all motor or supercharge..

IMO, there's a huge philosophy on why small displacement and superchargers don't mix.

99.9% of small displacement forced induction tuners do with turbo's for a reason.

SC's make for rough daily driving too. Always in boost.

My ex-girlfriend can change her own oil...that doesn't make her a mechanic. Likewise getting an automotive-related associates degree from the local community college doesn't make one a Honda guru.

The B16 has a different deck height vs ANY b18, so you need shorter rods. Its cheaper to get a B18 block if you're shooting for 230whp with a supercharger. Honestly though, I don't think you're read to take that step (turbo/sc). Hell, I don't think you should be taking any engine apart just yet.

BTW all the forced induction info in this entire subforum is bunk. SC's aren't always in boost, turbos aren't unreliable (sc's can throw belts like a redneck father), and you don't want *cast aluminum* high-compression pistons in a FI motor.
