No, save your money and get a manual impact driver. I got mine from PepBoys and it came with 4 different heads (2 philips and 2 flat ones).
Make sure the impact driver is spinning in the correct direction (you want to unscrew your bolt) and press straight up and hold tight. Then hit the end of the impact driver with a hammer and then release the impact driver. Push it in again and hold. Hit again on top, etc. Repeat that until you get it unstuck and you can take it out either with impact driver or a regular screw driver. The impact driver works very slowly so you gotta repeat this hold at least 3-4 times until you can get it unstuck (if it's really stuck).

Hold up one sec.... if you have a d16 in your car i'd think twice about using an impact driver on it
The bearings inside the d16's distributor are notoriously weak. No not to sure what putting that kinda force would do to the bearings as that rotor sits right on the end of the shaft does it not?

Re: (gtowni3)
funny, my dizzy screw came off pretty easliy on my y7 with a large screwdriver. remember, twist hard at once. its constant torque that breaks bolts. remember to take caution if you strip the bolt and go at it with a dremel / flathead screwdriver method.

I had the same problem when I replaced my rotor in my D16Z6. I was amazed when a friend of mine came up and put a crescent wrench around the screwdriver I was using and *pop* it came of like it was nothing! I'm still not sure why it worked so well, but I did the same thing to my other buddie's dizzy rotor and *pop* it came right off first thing! Maybe I'm on to something...
It's worth a shot if all else fails. Good luck!

Break off all the plastic on the rotor and use a pair of vise grips on the screw.... so break loose with little effort.

See if you can get a vice grip on it or maybe a chanel lock?! Mine was a bitch to get out and once I got that far I was pleasently suprised to find that the rotor had fused itself the the dizzy...

yeah prolly because you won't be able to get the screw out, you would need to tap out the hole later on.
Just brake the rotor off, and use vice grips to unscrew the screw.
