i was driving my car all day and the temp never went up. even the motor itself did not heat up. i was able to put my hands on the valve cover right after driving my car for over an hour. it could be the thermostat but i just changed it in mid december. and the motor should have at least heated up even if the thermostat goes bad but it didn't. has anyone ever had this problem before.

your thermostat is stuck open over cooling..bad...cause you to emit more hydrocarbons into the atmosphere..test your thermostat im not sure whats the operating temp on but you can suspened it in a pot of water heat it up have a thermometer handy and see what temp its opening up at...hope that helpds

but i dont think its my thermostat because my motor itself did not heat up. its about room temperature (70 - 80 degrees ) after a little bit over an hour drive. reason is because i have ran without the thermostat and the motor still warmed up enough to where you weren't able to keep your hands on the valve cover, and thats only after warming the car up for 15 minutes.
