Its hidden under the wheel well, pretty hard to began with. If someone breaks into your car I would worry more about them steeling the whole car rather then popping the hood and taking parts.

If a thief wants to look under the hood, they don't have to get inside the car.

he may be talking about a thief popping the hood to de-activate his alarm system, although if they wanted to they could still usually disconnect your alarm from inside the vehicle... where exactly were you planning on re-routing the cable to? i might be able to assist you (i re-routed mine on one of my old eg's).

Are you talking about re-routing the entire cable assy. or just the moving the latch under the dash? If it's the cable your wanting to re-route, I'd say it's already hard enough to get too as it is.

It's completely useless... What's the difference between him popping the hood w/ a coat hanger through the fender and pulling off the negative term, or breaking the window, pulling the hood latch, and pulling the negative terminal off - the alarm IF equiped with a shock sensor will sound for what, 10 seconds? before they pull the plug? Yea, basically, the best thing you can do alarm wise is install and hide a backup battery for the alarm system so it could work independently of the battery, that + a shock sensor will mean the alarm will probably go off and stay on....by the time they disable the battery and hte alarm is still on they might decide to run away...but probably not, you'll need a second siren as well because in that 30 seconds they'll also hav ethe wires cut to the siren....

In order to secure your car, a cable re-rout isn't going to do jack ****, you'll need an alarm system w/ a window shock sensor, starter kill relay, duel sirens (hard to get to), and a backup battery (hard to get to)..
