im working on a 98 civic that was EX 5spd and someone swapped in a D16y7 Automatic.. (ghey) anyway its not running right something is wrong with the fuel but i havent been able to figure out whats if i spray starting fluid in the intake it will fire right up and run for about 5-10 seconds and die.. There is a much louder than normal buzzing sound comming from the fuel pump when the key is turned to the on position, i pulled the injectors and cranked it and they all spray gas, i changed the pump, and the main relay anyone have any ideas? theres no CEL


Also what ECU should this car be using?
upon inspection of the lower end of the car i see the D16y7 has the car basically in the header and the o2 sensors are both up front but orginally the cat was farthers back so a o2 sensor was back there well the wires from that are cut and just dangling is there a way for me to see if the cars trying to read the missing o2 sens or the two that are actually there, the two that are there appear to be wire up correctly.... this car is a nightmare ghetto swap does not even come close

check to see if the cut wires are running to the ecu and i would imagine you would need a d7 ecu but what i dont understand is why would someone take off Vtec

i didnt start the work on this car nor do i know what these crackmonkeys were thinking i mean.. manual to autoswap? anyway im just trying to fix it, i know i need a d7 ecu but whats the code for it??

ill trace the o2 wires tommorow, anyone know why the fuel pump is buzzing way loud and staying on it supposed to pump for 2 seconds but its not its just staying on

incase anyone was wondering i figured it out with some help from GimpyAccord thnx alot mang https://honda-tech.com/zero...15115[/url], it seems the ex mech before swapped a 96 motor and part of the dash harness and from another unknown car into the 2000 civic ( i thought it was a 98 ) so im in the proccess of swapping the entire dash harness and motor/tranny/engine harness into the car from another whole civic that was wrecked, ill have alot of parts left over so if you need anything from a y7 or the interior/exterior of a 97-97 civic let me know.
