My vtec doesn't engage.
I've tested solenoid it works, checked with a test light but when revved up to 5500rpm theres nothing happening.
Ecu light is off, however I bridge out the diagnostic wires and it gives me three short flashes which is map sensor.
Lucky for me I had a spare laying at home.
I swapped the map sensor but now I have bigger problems, the car now idles very low sometimes stalls when driving, the car is also smoking alot (black) and smells very rich which means it's over-fuelling.The car drives as if it missing and occasionally backfires.
Am I supposed to do anything when swapping the map sensor maybe reset ecu or anything?.
Any help will be appreciated.
