HELP PLEASE! 1993 honda civic leaking...
hey guys, im new to the forum and some what new to Hondas. I'm not a tech but i know my way around a car from DIY stuff in my shop.
i recently picked up a 93 civic ex coupe.(on the title under "model" it says CE? anyone know what that is?) It has a d16a block, with a p08-2 head, and a p28 ECU. (anyone heard of this motor? i was told it was a JDM motor?)
It was leaking ALOT of oil, to the point it would leave a puddle. So i changed the dizzy o-ring, vtec solenoid gasket, and oil pan with a new gasket. That helped the puddling of oil but still dripping oil. I know the camshaft seal has to be replaced too.
so im still leaking oil on the backside of the motor somewhere (firewall side). i have wiped it down dry to and find this stubborn leak. next day oil is on the ground, transmission bell housing, driver side axle(which is always wet. Passenger side is dry), and on in underside of the intake manifold.... when i drive it for more than ten mins and stop it will smoke right where the exhaust manifold meets the cat....
im stumped could the transmission be leaking somewhere? the transmisson is stamped "s20"
Thanks guys for any help, much appreciated!

wow dude that sounds like a lot of leaks.
was the previous owner a tweaker? Just kidding.
If you're leaking from the backside like that, first thing I would check, make sure someone didnt double gasket your oil filter. Also check the oil sensor located near the oil filter to make sure it wasn't loosened. Never know when people put in oil pressure gauges, then remove them again upon selling a car.

yea i know i can drain all the fluid and it will stop haha. and yes the dude before me didnt know ANYTHING about cars, he didn't even know that the spark plug wires came off... ok i willl check those two things tomorrow when i get it on my lift. Could a oversized sized oil filter do that? or could the axle o-ring be bad? i know the axle clicks once its in the transmission.
Thanks for the help

yea that was my next step, its mostly the drivers side axel and bottom of the transmission is wet... just wondering what else could make that side wet other then a main, or an axle not seating properly...
