friend paid $900 for a riced out ej1 with no motor, friends shop so free for stock back in, and $1200 for b16a2. rebuild sohc? drop dohc? HELP PLEASE.. no flaming needed btw as the title states he only has 2g's to put into it EFFICIENCY IS A MUST. any usefull advice will be greatly appreciated (ugly altezzas, painted over white corners, and bad suspension also a problem) if this is just too little of a budget please help on what could be done! thankyou

Re: HELP!...only 2 g's and a EJ1 best options? (SleepyDX)
lol.....sorry i was in a rush at the time if you can't tell.. anyway its a 1995 manual EJ1, DX if i remember correctly, and the only thing it has on it as of now is a short shifter, NO MOTOR. I was wondering what the best options were on modding his coupe with $2000 to spend on it, our friend who owns a shop can give us a stock engine and put it in for free, but he would also give us a b16a2 with a little under 30k on it for 1200. the car has some shitty old springs in the front and stock ones in the back, it also has some nasty altezzas and corners. without being flamed on i was wondering what the most "bang for your buck" solution was, or atleast some ideas. This will be a daily driver so reliability is also a big factor. so most likley no turbo... just a nice N/A set up with some money left for minor cosmetic problems. (doesnt have to have the JDM look to it, just clean or even "stockish" ) thankyou in advance once again for anyone who can give some HELPFUL advice

get the b16, then use the extra 800 to fix everything else...I dont understand where the confusion would be.
