ok, how do I remove the pins in the stock stereo harness? I have been trying all day but I cant figure out where the little clips inside the plug are that you need to unhook. has anyone ever done this before and is there an easier way to do it?
thanks

Not that it really matters, but I am trying to do this because the previous owner, had a aftermarket head set in the car but instead of either cutting out the harness all the way or using an aftermarket harness. they cut 3 wires right up against the stock connector. So if i can get those 3 pins out I would just have to re-crimp the wires and I can throw a stock deck in that I have laying around.

Okay, taking out thoses lil pins is a byitoch. Here is a diagram of your car harness.

Not sure why they did it this way unless they had a sound system in the car. How short is the cut? any pics? If you go to a shop they will charge you for a harness and reverse harness.

i do have pics I just dont have them uploaded. The wires are cut right at the back of the connector.
I really dont want to pay any money to have this fixed if I can just pull the pins and fix it that way. $10 might not sound like a lot but I have already spent close to 1k on different car parts this month for my other projects.
