92 civic si...........when i open the P.side door the tach goes the zero...bad ground??????or something else

Yeah dude... your wiring is fucked up to your VTAK solenoid controller... get that **** check out fast, or else your windshield wipers won't work any more.

gremlin is a technical term for problems that happen without reason or cause or provokation(spelling?)

for all technicall purposes your door opening or closing should not even effect anything at all when it comes to your car. only thing i can think of is something is crossed with the little butten that turns the dome light on.

your a brave man to try to find a "gremlin" like that, i would just ignore it.

It doesn't matter because there aren't any wires related to the door that even cross the tach wire.
