Re: help with my Z6. burns oil at vtec!
oka, i went racing on a sunday afternoon, me against my cousin's brother-in-law. right behind me was my cousin. he watched us race and noticed a white cloud of smoke coming my exhaust. btw i just got on my new greddy exhaust on a saturday, and the race was the next day.. which is a sunday. since my cousin saw the white could of smoke coming from my exhaust... i just have to check to see if the inside of the exhaust was black.. and my new greddy exhaust was all covered in black stuff.. which i assumed i was oil burning.

White = coolant
Blueish-gray = oil
Black = fuel
Do you have a cat converter installed, or a test pipe?
Hondas like to burn oil when in vtec from what I have seen in the past.
How many miles are on the car? I would guess the piston rings, or the valve seals if you are not leaking oil.
How often do you top off the oil and how much oil are adding each time?

They deffiently do burn a little when you hit vtec, however for the most part you can hardly tell when checking. At least on all my friends cars you cant, but you can smell it.

define "chipped", does it have some sort of generic "MUGEN" program? If so then its probably running rich. If you can try to run a stock P28 and see how it does.
