when i start my car it idles fine runs fine too however after i step on the gas or drive a little then come to a red light my idle go from 800 up to 1500 then drop back to 800 and shoot up to 1500 can anyone help me

What car/engine/ecu/mods....need more information, but from the looks of it, a vacuum leak may be the culprit.

check the iac valve, clean out the ports in the throttle body.

model is 94 civic ex with cold air intake header exhaust high flow cats just the usuall bolt on stuff..where is the iac valve? ecu is stock think its a p28 but not sure

if your throwing a code then its more than likely the iac valve. If not then check all your vaccum lines for a vaccum leak.
