i have a 96 civic ex with d16y8 typical air intake exhaust stuff.

i dont drive it very hard and i only get 28-30mpg

is this normal?

dont drive it as hard as u do. i wish i got 30mpg, be happy with that. im getting like 20, if that cuz i need new plugs

the y8 has a very close tranny so if you are doing a lot of highway driving that could lower it, i know my dx d15b7 gets 45mph on the freeway, i have even gotten up to 50mpg on the freeway.....it all varies, whether it is in-town or highway

weird, your o2 sensor might be going, replace your standard tune up stuff, ie, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, pcv valve etc.

How is the condition of your O2 sensor and catalytic converter?

I only get 23-25 MPG on a bone stock D15B7. But, my O2 is crapping out and my cat crapped out quite a while ago.
