Default Help with my dilemma...

Im am about to purchase a JDM b18c for my 97 coupe online, and I am going to have a little cash left over after the swap. My dilemma is that I can only afford to do ONE major upgrade with the money I have left. Here are my options...
1. New clutch/flywheel
2. New rods/rod bolts/head studs
3. New cams/cam gears
4. Other (suggestions?)

I am leaning toward either 1. or 2. because it would be easiest to do with the motor already out of the car, but i would get better results from the new cams/gears. I am going to have about $1000 to play with after its all said and done, so any suggestions are welcome . Keep in mind that I DO NOT have aftermarket exhaust OR intake, so those are a possibility as well, but i would rather do stuff that requires the engine OUT of the car to save a headache down the road. The car will be daily driver, so keep that in mind as well. Thanks in advance for the advice/suggestions.

well I thinks its a safer bet to get a clutch at LEAST since it will be a used engine.
you canlighten your oem flywheel a bit to cut down on weight and save money for a set of ITR cams or a sweet header/exhaust. A flywheel is a good good good thing to have on that motor, but there are different things to think about as well.. you may need a water pump, a radiator, other misc ****...

Good stuff... I am going to get a new water pump, timing belt, misc engine maitenance stuff (fluids, wires, plugs, etc...), an Si rear engine mount, jdm itr header, etc.. Im lookin for most bang for the buck basically. So we have one person for clutch/flywheel.....any other opinions? Cmon i know like 50,000 people have a b18c swap on here - show some love

-i would suggest the clutch and flywheel.
-since it's a jdm motor, it's prolly not going to have a ton of miles on it, so option #2 might not be the best way to spend your money right now.
-may i suggest an exedy clutch. they have a great feel and there is a groupbuy going on right now in the best buys forum.
-i don't really have experience with anythign other than a toda flywheel, but i reccomend it as well. not the lightest thing out there, but it is still a good deal lighter than stock.

Exedy huh...good stuff. Ive heard nuthin but good stuff about the Toda flywheel, and I dont want a SUPER light flywheel anyways. Ive heard really light flywheels can be a little unmanageable for daily drivers. I also like the fact that the Toda is chrom-moly and not aluminum. Thanks for the advice so far.....any others?
