I'm more concerned about why you're driving over 120mph. Doesn't sound like it's on the track either.

It's the ECU, I had the same problem with my EX at 123, didn't cut out, but it backed down to like 119 or so, still had more left in it so I don't think it was topping out... then went back up to 123 right away (so u could tell it was a limiter)...you can get it chipped and have the limiter removed

You're hitting the speed governor courtesy of your JDM ECU. It cuts out at 180kmph=about 120mph.

1]wecome to HT
2]typical noob question:

no real reason for going that fast..sorry to break it to you.. only way i would be doing it is if i was racing for slips , big $$$$ or on the autobahn highway..and if you still have your gov on your car doesnt sound like you were were doing either.. YOUR THE REASON MY INSURENCE IS SO HIGH.. THANKS @#%HOLE!!

jdm ecu's have a tendency to have a lower set gov than usdm..

Why do you need to go more than 122mph again? If you're using that particular ECU with the corresponding engine, there's no back-straight or dragstrip this side of the moon that would allow your shitbox to reach those speeds. If you're doing it on the highway, I can only hope Darwin snatches you away without interfering in the lives of any innocents.

Finally a buckeye with a brain!

I'm pretty sure he's lying too. I seriously doubt his newly acquired civic does 120 mph on the track.

actually 190kph is only 117mph. and yes it's still fast, uncalled for, and you still have much to learn my young padawan!

Well he IS looking for some JDM red emblems for it, so maybe it'll go 120+ after that tasteful modification

whay are you on about! the track i have tried it on is partly an old unused runway and the long straight is more than enough to hit that speed, just because i have just imported it does not mean it wont hit 122 on a track... dur!!!!
