ok, cuz i even tried to push the ground wire which is the one in the front of the motor to the frame right? well i was pushing that up against the motor seeing if that would do anything but didnt seem to.. what other nearby bolts could i ground that wire to.. if this isnt the problem that wat else would it be thats not letting it crank over and how can i check if everything is working the way its suppose to be, are my sparks put in the wrong way sumhow? is there a wrong way to put them in? i really dunno wat the prob is but i need my car... i have work

Re: (Tru)
check your spark plug wires on the distributor make sure they are in the right order did that on my old motor when i changed a head gasket. had 1 and 2 wire mixed up and all it would do is crank but not turn over

Re: (ablack934doorcivic)
i was thinkin the timing might have been off cuz the idiot that was messin with my car slid the timing belt off of the cam gear thinking thats how u get the belt off and didnt even remove the crank pully or anything.. i really hope that i didnt bend a valve but when i try starting it, it sounds like its getting slower and about to die..

Thats fine... but did he put it back to Top Dead Center when he put the belt back on...?

Re: (Cashieboi)
you could check timing by taking off the valve cover and looking at the marks on the cam gears.
of course you will have to turn the engine with the bolt on the crank pulley
oh and I am not sure about this but it looked like it was possible when I replaced the engine in my old integra, I think it is possible to put a distributor on 180 degrees off. which I assume would cause a problem like this.
