What are your plans for the car? I think you need to decide what you want and not what other people want to do to your car.

What the hell does engine specs have to do with how the outside of the car looks?

My suggestion though, silver rims. Black with a lip look like ****. Get like some 17s if you slam it. but if you lower it just a bit, get some 15s, or 16s with oversized tires would look good.

http://hondashowoff.com/profile.php?id=5749

thats my car, its a 96 silver 4 door too, check it.

4 door 6th gens have to have the right lookin rims to be lowered and not look too bad. Like my car dropped 4 inches would look terrible.

Suggestions:

Don't get the OEM fogs. Ya don't want em. There overpriced cause there rare cause they didnt sell cause there too ugly.

Short shifters do NOT expletive up your transmission, thats a misconception. The short throw shifters we all have are the same height. Look at your car, you dont want the shifter physically lower, you just cant reach it. Your headlights, go to Napa and get somethin called 3M Perfect It II. Its a rubbing compound and will remove the yellowing from age.
The Si's lip looks nice, don't know what lip your thinkin of. For your grille, dont know what to tell ya, whatever ya want. I used gutterguard after i dremeled out the plastic.

a lot of it has to do with budget, future plans, how you want your car to turn out. coming on honda-tech and asking for advice on what you should do is just a way to get flamed. im surprised you haven't gotten flamed already.

2ndly, do some research yourself. look at other civics that have been dropped, read some specs, etc.

as for engine mods, d16...turbo it . if not, go all motor na...? chipped ecu, i/h/e u said u already got, fuel managing, etc. any ideas on clutch/flywheel? new tranny, etc.

read up on other builds. you'll learn a lot more than you think you will.

i may seem like a complete noob posting this reply, but its just my 2c so take it or leave it

NAem1, i love that car. At that angle, it actually almost looks like a coupe, but ya still got the practicality of a sedan cause hoes dont like crawlin over ya to get to the backseat (till ya know, later.) And because the car is dark and the sideskirts are black, the black lip works.

This is mine, this is what happens when you have 16s at stock height and they give you tires too small. It looks lifted I know.
