help motor won't start don't know whats wrong
ok here is the problem swapped a d-16z6 with another d-16z6 and turbo setup off the other motor everything is hooked up vaccum, water, electrical, motor turns over but does not fire has fuel and spark but just does not fire, i have done quite a few swap and never had this problem i have checked everything three times and just can't figure it out, the only thing that i can think of is the ecu but don't know how it would of fried had all off the ground straps hooked up but any help would be awesome, thankx

way too early for that. Not enough info dude.
First question, was the motor running before the install?
Second, what did you swap out?

OK YES THE MOTOR WAS RUNING BEFORE THE SWAP PULLED OUT OF ONE CAR INTO THE OTHER CAR BOTH D-16-Z6 SO UNPLUG AND PLUG RIGHT BACK IN TO THE OTHER CAR CHECKED THE TIMING, AND IT IS CORRECT, AND CHANGED TO ANOTHER DISTRUBUTOR, REPLACED TPS AND STILL NOTHING IT TURNS OVER BUT DOES NOT FIRE BUT I DO HAVE SPARK SO A LITTLE CONFUSED SO KEEP THROWING OUT IDEAS sorry its all in caps just realized and don't want to have to retype this whole thing

Ok, lets go through the usual steps.
1. Spark... You say you have that.
2. Fuel. Got any fuel reaching the injectors? Fuel in the tank? CHeck this.
3. Now if you have fuel, spark a good battery, it should at least start, unless you fried something.
is it possible that you flooded it? if the engine ran good prior to the swap, and your car was ok also prior to the swap, then it should fire. Wait a minute, how was your car prior to the swap????????? Any big problems with it??? Why did you swap engines????

well the motor ran fine before the swap but got it figured out just a fuel delivery problem but i don't quite understand i had fuel at the injectors so it is behind me know thank god but ran into a vacum leak but fixed that so it is set at 5 pounds and can rip through the first 3 gears what a last couple of days so thankz for the help and if yall ever need anything just let me know
