Default HELP - Mini Me Swap Tomorrow........

I have a D16Z6 Head and in the eg hatch i have a stock d15B2 block. what do i need to complete the swap. should i get the wiring harness from the vtec engine. or should i tap the harness right now in the car (NON VTEC). And also how is it that you get the color of the wires for the vtec, do you just get a piece of wire and tap it into the harness.

just keep your harness you have now. It's only two wires you run from your ecu to the solenoid. You'll need the z6 timing belt since the b2 will be too small and tight. Also get the dizzy and ecu for the z6 and intake manifold. Use the mounts from the obd1 engine and driver side engine mount that bolts onto the block otherwise your engine is gonna be tilted some. Besides that, timing, timing, timing is the key to these minime as with any engine and be sure to remove the oil jet in hte b2 block otherwise vtec won't activate. Good luck

Should be in between cylinders 2 and 3. Up top. You'll need to screw in a screw and yank it out.

What mounts? Engine mounts?

This is strictly a cylinder head swap.

Did you even read this? https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=554053

Same rules apply for B2 block as B7.
