Ok just did a obd1 B18C1 swap in my ej1 and everythings connected. All the grounds are connected and everythings pretty much ready to go. We have fuel and power but no spark. I threw in some pics of my distributor cap and rotor in hopes of getting some input as in what condition these are in and if they definately need to be replaced so I can try and pick them up tomorrow.

you should get new ones when you do a swap, just to be safe

check the coil while the rotor and cap is out

Does that even look like a stock gsr rotor? I was turning the crank to find the screw so I could remove the rotor and there was no place around it for the screw. I just pulled on the rotor a little bit and it came out. On the shaft inside there is a threaded hole where it looks like the screw should be and unfortunately nobody is open right now or doesnt have any in stock.

lol same thing happen to me. we got the wrong rotor from the auto parts store and the engine wouldnt start.

get the right rotor

check plugs, plug wires, rotor, cap, ignitor, coil...wiring...narrow it down

plugs and wires are brand new, im gonna pick up a new cap and rotor from acura tomorrow and then go from there.

That cap and rotor look like they're good enough to give you spark. Might want to look at other things just incase you have to pick up something else at the auto parts store.

yeah man,
i'm pretty damn sure you're supposed to have that screw in there holding the rotor firmly in place.

at least its that way on dseries dizzies..

same thing happened to me and it was a ground pin on one of the sensors of the mani, (says the honda dealership.) frustration

Figured it out, my buddy put in his coil and rotor while I was at work and it fired right up. Looks like I'll be going to Acura tomorrow and getting new stuff. I appreciate everyones help
