help me with this shift linkage problem
i bought a shift linkage that was said to be out of a 98 civic ex. when i got it i tried to assemble it and the shifter is too large for the change rod. heres a picture of what i mean
and heres some picture of the shift linkage i got.
the shifter bolts up to the other rod just fine.
i was thinking the guy might of grabbed the wrong shifter or change rod for me so giving him the benefit of the doubt, i tried to email him but its been two days and he haven't replied. so i'm beginning to think that he's trying to scam me. but i'll give him couple more days since i'm a nice guy. could you guys identify that shift linkage. i plan on using it to bolt up to a z6 tranny for an auto to manual swap project i plan on doing. i'm hoping the shifter is the wrong piece so i could just buy another shifter. but if the rods are wrong, i'm gonna have to track the guy down and take the couple hours to drive to his place and show him what i do to people that waste my time and money
