help me pick the best cam setup for my B16A
I can't decide what setup I'm going for. It's got to be street legal so I guess the only options are the stage 2s.But what makes the most power ?? Anyone have dynos of it ?? I'm planning to get me a complete ECU from a local dyno shop.T o get the optimum results..
Remember: Swap is not an option.FI is not an option I want to go N/A...Just to get things cleared up

Re: help me pick the best cam setup for my B16A (ce)
what kind of gains with ITR cams ?? I know they are a lot cheaper, but cost is not a problem...I don't mind paying a bit more for more power
My goal is around 200 hp at the flywheel which is app. 170 whp..

You should be able to hit 170whp with skunk2 stage 1 cams...so anything more then that...well you get the point. Just make sure that if you are going to put a big cam in there, you need to make sure you have al of your breathing needs taken care of.

i have some Toda A's for your car if interested.
i've been asking $400, i used them for 11,000 miles. Run real strong, just need to upgrade intake springs. a little stronger than CTR cams, perfectly streetable.
hit me up here. my I.M isn't working yet

Re: help me pick the best cam setup for my B16A (Zeus Zore)
i got type-r cams and i love them. the slight pull in vtec first gear is bearly noticable, but second gear pulls hard. third gear too. its not so much how hard it pulls, it how much longer. i can shift at like 8500 and there is still power, unlike the b16 cams that cut off at like 7500 or around there.
the jun type-2 seem real nice. they have more duration and the same lift on the intake cam than the type-3s.

Re: help me pick the best cam setup for my B16A (allmtr)
i just rode in my best friends gsr and he had a stage 2 head package done ,3 angel valve job .skunk 2 stage 2 cams, skunk retainers, skunk valves, skunk valve springs, new retainers, full port and polish.skunk 2 intake manifold,jg edelbrock throttle body 70 mm, rc injectors dont know what size,v-afc,aem cai,dc sports ss 4-1 one piece header,dc sports short shifter, ground control coilovers, skunk 2 cam gears, mugen head gasket!
he had all that done at the same time and i have to say i must have a stage 2 package as well it flies and everything is set at 0 because he hasnt had a chance to hit up the dyno yet and he needs to upgrade his ecu before he can really tune it but his car is sick!
vtec engages at 5900 rpm and it gets loud as hell then at like 7000 his car pulls so hard youd swear your in a 4 wheel crotch rocket!
so i guess im voting for the skunk 2 cams because thats all ive ever really known and seen in use!
