I just bought my 92' hatch cx for 2gz. The engine light is on and why? I found out later that it was my o2 sensor....it seems like the 1st owner had cut the o2 sensor wiring and replaced the o2 sensor plug with some cheap 1 WIRE plug LOOK A LIKE. Now im going to have to fix it in order to pass smog. Please help me get my light off, tell me the items i need and where i can buy these items. I live in OC/ Garden Grove, CA.
Help me I beg of you! Your my only hope HT peoples!

just go get a new o2 sensor and re-wire it back up and you should be good to go...check your local honda dealer for the part.

i know, but what i meant was HE CUT the o2 sensor wire connecting to the ecu! <---where do i get this peice? (not the o2 sensor plug itself but the 4 wires connecting to the ecu)

You could pay lots for OEM stuff, or you could DIY wire it with the right guage of wire...

I prefer http://www.mouser.com for my electronics needs, but I don't know what kind of wire they have on there nowadays. Lots of connectors and other stuff that you might be interested in, too... Heat shrink tubing if you solder splice (my favorite) the new wires to the old ones.
