Okay heres the deal...i've got a 99 civic ex coupe...i got a ticket for my intake which is not carb legal...i'm running my cousins obd1 ecu right now and i have DC headers...now i changed my intake back to my stock airbox but forgot to change my ecu...(i know i'm a dumbass...) i'm sure its not my headers but i'm gonna change my ecu and headers back to stock and go back...what i want to know if even after i do that will i still pass or not???

well the first thing that i can tell u which u already know is to switch the stock ecu back in, that chipped one prolly has a real aggressive map in it, just try that first, cause if your motor is stock then you should pass with no problem, and we cant tell u that its going to pass or not, thats the refs job, but thats a start, is changing that ecu

carb legal but it doesnt mean that your gonna pass smog with it.

there is a JDM dc header and a usdm header with the carb plaque on it, which one u have?

This certification is not a guarantee that your car will pass emissions testing. A vehicle in good working condition equipped with our header system will pass emissions. Because there are many variables that can cause a vehicle to fail an emissions test, DC Sports will not be liable for any costs incurred by a user to obtain a smog certificate.

yes i have the carb plate....update i just changed my stock header back on...and ecu...but when i accel in my car you can hear a leak..coming from the headers..

change back ecu, and check timing. Also remember to run your vehicle for 10-20 miles to set your monitors.

OBD-II owns yo buddy. When you go to get your smog done, they hook up the system to your ECU as well at the service port. Even my sisters Saturn SL2 couldnt pass smog, even though there was nothing wrong with the engine. She had a CEL a week before, but because the ECU wasn't reset, or the code wasn't gone long enough for the computer to release it from memory, that on the smog test, we failed due to recent CELs in the memory. The car passed all sniffer, gas cap tests, and we got sent home w/o cert. due to stupid computer issues! Screw OBD-II
