Help me with my weird issue in my civic VX
The car:
1994 bone stock never modded one owner civic VX (vtec-e)
I rarely run into a problem I cant figure out but this one has me stumped.
Kinda hard to explain but here goes.
The problem is in accelerating. IF I'm on the freeway cruising and I lift the throttle or shift gears the car will bog just for a few seconds (say about 2 seconds) then it will move fine (as good as a VX can)
So it seems to me that any time the car comes out of closed loop mode it does this. It really doesn't do it around the city at all unless I hold a constant speed for a few seconds then try to accel. That's about as good as I can explain it for now.
I would just forget about it and swap a b16 in it but this is my commuter and I am just trying to get good MPG for a change. Its still get good MPG and this issue wouldn't bother me but this issue makes it really hard for me to hold a constant speed on the freeway because it wants to bog (for 2 seconds) and time I have to accelerate.
So far I changed
Cap
Rotor
Plugs
Fuel filter
Ran some injector cleaner
Spark plug wires
Does anyone know when VTEC is suppose to kick in on the VTEC-E ?
Thanks for any help.
