m friend has a hatch with a internally stock D15b and a turbo kit, i think hes running somewhere in the area of 9 - 11 Psi. He pulls on swapped B series hatches wih internal work and B20/vtec hatches. all of which ran in the Mid 13's at the track.

motor and tranny = $550
turbo kit = $900
total = $1450

cant even get a B16 for that. D series on boost is the way to go! ill soon have a Y8 on boost also. its cheap, and fast. Reliability issues??? only $300 for a motor. cant beat that.

Where are you guys getting your D series? The popular places like HMO and PasswordJDM are lacking in the D department.

I found a place that is about an hour from my house that has something like 300 D15B's in stock. I asked how much one was and they said $300 for the engine and transmission. Is the wiring on it any different from a D16Z6?

I was thinking of getting a d15b but can't find anyplace that sells it with the lsd tranny. I've got some cash coming in the spring and a turbo kit just waitting to go on so a d15b may be coming in a couple of months once I get my cash.

i had a D16Z6 with greddy turbo kit running 6psi, that motor was old and finally went to hell, ordered D15B, and put the motor in the car, running with a P28 ecu, to me it feels faster than it use to be, and i had crower stage 2 turbo camshaft in the old motor, waiting for a good time to get that put back in, or get the zex cam.
with the old motor i ran a 14.1, i am hopeing for faster times now and think it'll make it to 13's
no lsd
