help! lsvtec burning oil!? need ht diagnosis!
i first noticed it awhile ago by seeing little splatter marks on the garage floor right where the end of my exhaust would be. i didnt think much about it at first, but the marks keep getting bigger, so i fially checked my oil (yeah i am lazy i know). and sure enough its low. i am think its mostly when i start up my car cause thats what i do when its in the garage. no check engine light and i just had a tune up alittle while ago and i havent even raced it since then! somebody tell me whats wrong! thanks.

it could be your rear main that is possible. Also try that lucas motor oil **** next time you get like a quart low put a quart of that in there instead. Or nest time you change your oil put 3 qts. oil 1 quart lucas.

Just making sure, did you plug the vtec oil gallies on the head before you put it on, and did you make sure you got a LS head gasket, then another thing is I know a friend of mine can burn a quart of synthetic oil in one night using vtec alot. Can be alot of things but with LS/VTEC those are my thoughts. Best thing is to Jack the bitch up and have a look around, if you see oil comming from you head gasket. Was this engine rebuilt LS/VTEC or did you just put the head on it? Remember lack of oil and pressure are the top killers of LS/VTEC

its like splatter coming out of my muffler. it might only be when i start it up but i am not sure. i just no the marks are form when i strart it up. its not leaking oil eaither. i ve had the lsvtec for awhile, meaning i didnt just do the swaps so its nothing to do with that.

jack it up... check around the oil pump(kinda hard with that cover on).. could be the oil pump sealant or front main seal. mines is leaking too but too lazy to put in the new fitting...
