Default Help with lowering spring problem>....

The car that I just bought had junk coilovers on it and it was completely slammed. You could get a finger tightly between the fender and tire. I decided that i was going to put H&R sport springs on so that it would improve the ride and raise it some. IT ACTUALLY LOWERED IT!!! What the hell? Now the tires rub when i turn! What should i do?

While shocks shouldn't affect ride height, have you checked them? Are they blown?

Even if they were, it would have no effect at all. What type of shocks are these, what are the springs, and how were they installed? Do you have any pics?

Exactly what I thought. Shocks shouldn't affect ride height at all. x2 on the pics.

The rims are 17" and the tires are 205/40/17
Struts are KYB 4 way front and 8 way rear
Springs are H&R Sport Springs

I don't have any pics of it at the moment, but it was done professionally and I can vouch for them as they have done all my exhaust and suspension work in the past. I don't even want to have it this low. I really thought that it would raise it at least a half of an inch. But no luck. In the past when i have used these springs to lower, they lower minimally. Is the Si a different story. Is it fairly low from factory? I am so confused and so mad right now.

You can't lower your car much with 17"s.

Well if i roll my fenders then i have to get rid of the fender skirts correct? Also wouldn't it still rub on the fender when i turn? If the wheel is outside of the fender when you turn then rolling them isn't going to help.
