I have a 96 jdm b18c type r motor on the way, my car is a eg vx,i'm wondering if i can use the harness off the vx, and use it on the jdm motor, i would use the one on the jdm motor but the harness are backwards, so can't use it, i know i'm going to have the change the injector harness, distributor, and alternator plugs, but will the vx harness w/ a chipped p28 work??? also keep in mind the 5 wire o2 sensor, compared to the 4 wire o2 sensor on other motor.... or if anyone have done this swap, can you tell me what you did to make it work good.. thanks

look for an obd2 gsr harnes and rewire the 5 wire o2 sensor to 4 wire

you could use a GSR OBDI harness, use the O2 sensor for that harness and then just plug al the **** onto ur VX harness and through the chipped eCu in there. i might be missing some details

That would be the best solution for your setup. An OBD2 USDM GSR or ITR harness would make the swap plug and play with all the OBD2 electronics on the motor. You will have to unpin 1 wire on the shock tower from the VX chassis plug (ORG/BLU) and match it to the WHT wire on the GSR/ITR harness to fix the O2 wiring. The IAB and Knock sensor can both be wired by existing wiring in the car so there will be no need to run any additional wires.
You can also use your stock VX harness but you will have to change the injector, distributor and alternator plugs with the OBD2 plugs from the JDM ITR harness. You will also need to change the O2 plug to a 4 wire O2 plug. Once you change to the proper plugs, you'll then need to run the IAB and knock sensor wires to the shock tower only. Although the VX isn't "prewired" for these, in a sense it is since you can use existing chassis wires to make the connection for them at the ECU. It takes some extra work using the VX harness but at least you have that option.

im not too sure what vx means. but i want to put jdmb18c5/type r motor in my 96 hatch civic dx, will the jdm plugs mate with usdm plugs? i was told they didnt before. fill me in, im an amature.
