Default help with identifying this head. d series.

my friend is about to give me this d series long block. the block read d15b which i know its a jdm sohc vtec but the head it reads pm3 and the back part of the head has a hole on it but it was block off by a plate which i can remove and see the internal of the head thru the hole. it looks like for a vtec solenoid but much diff, just only two bolts.

the usdm dx head has the same hole there but its block off stock. here is a pic of it. this is the stock usdm dx head and its block off inside, while the head im bout to buy has a hole through it.

do u think the guy drill a hole through it and custom it for vtec?

any input would help. never seen a head like that before
