Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I have searched for the answer but cant find my answer. I purchased a 92 civic with a B18A1 swap already done and was told the engine came from a 1995 Integra. I want to work on it now but wanted to verify the engine so I get the right parts. I have recently read that the B18A1 motor is in the 1990-1993 Integras, so it made me search more to find out since the years don't match.
According to this link:

my serial number would be a B18A1 49 state model.

I looked up the VIN and got
Year: 1997 Style/Body: Hatchback 2D
Make: Acura Engine: 1.8L I4 EFI
Model: Integra LS Country of Assembly: Japan

So according to that I think it could have come from a 95 since I think they have the same body styles, but I could be wrong.

Does anyone have any information that could help me? Could a B18A1 come from a 97 Integra?

Edit: Also when I am looking for replacement parts such as fuel pump, filter, ECU, etc, what model should I be looking for to match up the parts to the correct engine?

replacement parts can be for any 1.8 non vtec. integra gs, ls or rs.

The year doesn't matter? I thought some years and slightly different sizes of things, like headers or intake or something. And what about the ECU (I'm thinking maybe its the wrong ECU because no mechanic can figure out why my check engine light comes on randomly)?
