you might be able to get to it is you reach your hand through the front bumper grill area. you might have to cut some of the plastic grill. but you can just get a new bumper. if its that important to get in. or call ashop and ask them how they would try and get in or take it to a shop

Where did the cable break? at the hood latch? If not, find a portion of the cable and grab on it with pliers! I have to do this in my hatch cuz the end of the cable broke away from the plastic latch (the plastic actually didn't break!) in the cabin; and so I have a pair of pliers in the glove box now. LOL

Re: (blk92_d16)
i have no inner fender protector and it got caught up in the tire and got all torn up. so i cut it were it enters the interior of the car and was left with a good length of wire but when i pull on it it doesnt work.
also is which would be the best way to do this (fast and easy) cause its not really a priority but its annoying. thought about going out and cutting the hood around the latch to get in cause if its not one thing its another.
ps. this car has 317,000 miles on it so i expect **** to happen

haha actually when i re-routed my hood cable, i ended up locking myself out of my hood too. I undid the bolts/screws on the sides of the bumper and was able to move it so i could get my hands up there, grabbed a small allen wrench, hooked it in the release part and pulled it, the hood popped right open, took about 20 minutes in all.
