Alright, I have kinda notcied by hood latch was feeling loose, then I pulled it today and it didnt make that noise like usual, the hood was just up. I didnt really think anything of it, then I tried to close it and it wont stick down.

The lever used to open the hood once its popped doesnt go back on its own anymore now, and I can close the hood and it looks like its shut, but you can just open it with your finger. Its like the latch will close, but not lock it in.

Also I checked the latch lever under the dash and the wire behind it now has a ton extra, and its not tight very loose. It has so much line the latch doesnt even stay down, its slightly up.

I have a feeling Ihave to replace it all.

Anyone wanna tell me different???

mine does the same thing u have to slide a little lever in the latch assembly ove to the right, and it should give the cable some slack, allowing it to close.

I have the same probelm but it is because of the little spring up front that is suppose to pull my latch back. hope that helps.

You need to lube up the latch assembly. It's getting stuck open, so the spring can't pull it back properly.
