HELP HELP HELP........00 si b16a2 into 98 hatchback..
Ok im getting really confused here. I bought a 99-00 Si motor (b16a2) which is an obd2 motor. But im now reading and it seams my car is an obd2a and the si motor is obd2b. I just want to know if this will still work for my car. These are my questions....
1. Can my dx wiring harness be wired for vtec and work with this motor? Or do i need a converstion harness or whatever?
2. What mounts and brackets do i need?

1. yes. you need to get a conversion harness obd2a to 0bd2b to run the 99-00 si ecu.
2.u can use your stock mounts except the rear mount has to be a 99-00 si or you can get hasport mounts.

Re: HELP HELP HELP........00 si b16a2 into 98 hatchback.. (Phatch99)
Ok can someone tell me if this will work....
My shop wires my dx wiring for vtec and i use a 98 GSR ecu, again on a 2000 b16a2 motor.
This would eliminate the need for the conversion harness and work right?

2. Shop rewires my dx harness and i use a 98 GSR ecu (Will that even work?)
Also what mounts and brackets do i need for this 00 motor to fit into my 98 civic?

The P72 ECU isn't the proper ECU for a B16A. It will engage VTEC too early at 4400 RPM, thus causing a loss in power from 4400-5500 RPM.
