Default HELP! hah i got a little problem and idk if im right about it so please take a look.

i have a 94 del sol with a kinda built d16z6...
ok so heres the thing... i think i blew my piston rings...but not sure... heres what happens.

ok when i take off theres a huge cloud of blueish smoke and then whenever i downshift to like 2nd gear to slow down at stop signs/lights/w.e it just pours out blueish smoke till i stop and then when i take off again its just another cloud of smoke.

so im thinkin its the rings but idk if im right on this.... i just put new pistons and rings in (high compresson) like 3 months ago and i dint beat on it for about 600 miles for break in..so idk wtf happened... and no i dint put the pistons in myself i had my uncle whos a mechanic do it. so someone please help me with this!!!!

Probably does it because you babied it and the rings didn't get to seat properly. Or did you also do something in the head like valve seals? Next time you rebuild it, which appears to be very soon, research the hard break-in and the theory behind why it's superior to feather-footing.
