Help grinding noise after throttle is let off.
When you rev up the engine on my 93 hatch, once the tach drops to about 2500-3000 there is a grinding noise that comes from my engine bay. Anyone know what it can be? I looked around and I can't find anything. Keep in mind I haven't even had this car for a week so I don't know what it could be.

Nope, when I push the cluth in, and when it's sitting in neutral it makes the nasty grinding noise. And it's every single time I go on the gas, not just sitting there revving in the garage.

a horrid exhaust leak? take off your exhaust header heatshield and listen, if not that, then it might be a shot tranny, but I'm not too sure on that, a sound clip would be nice...

Yea without hearing it personally or have a clue of where it might be coming from, its hard to say. Try having a friend rev it up and start narrowing down where its coming from in there
