help going to buy an integra for the engine what do you think???
K this guy is selling a 94 acura integra gsr with rims and fully loaded for like 2500.
I'm thinking of buying the car ripping engine out and rebuilding low compressin to 9:1 je pistons and bore it out 2.0l engine and boost it with a rev hard stage 2c turbo kit. Here is my questions.
I know its a steal I mean the engine would be 3600 shipped to my hosue on HMO and then it might have something wrong with it and I know this one runs and its in good condition it just has high mileage...but it won't matter after rebuild right? (new pistons, rods, valves, and valve springs and retainers getting engine balanced) am I right? Plus I'll get the whole interior to put into the civic...backseats and fronts will fit from a 2 dr integra coupe into a 2 dr civic coupe right? So is this a good deal...do you think I should do it...I would have to get a loan...how should I go about doing this? I don't want to get loan for car because then I'll have to pay for insurance for that car and that would suck right? So should I buy it and do swap and if so how do I go about loan...i have never got a loan before but got a credit card so my credit is good and I'm 21...I bring home every week between 600 to 900 dollars its just I have bills so I can't afford to jsut throw out the cash...and if I waited to save the car might be gone before I save enough...should be able to pay loan off in about 6 months easily...so what should I do? Sorry for long post. Plus I figure I can sell the rims to someone and sell body to junk yard or something right?

thanks for the response I went and applied for loan so hopefully in a few days a gsr will be sitting in my driveway and I'll be getting ready to pull the engine and start building up the engine.

Yes, most banks require you to get pretty much comprehensive insurance on the car that has the lein (loan). I don't know that they would take too kindly to you ripping the car apart before the loan is payed off, but they don't really have to know, do they? They just like to have something to take from you in case you don't pay up. So yes, the actual cost of the car would be loan + interest + 6 months insurance + titling fees + registration (optional). Do the math. Worth it? I think so.
As an alternative route, see if you can get a credit card with a big enough limit that has one of those special introductory offers of 0% for the first 6 months or so. Then you won't have to worry about the bank or the insurance.
