help!! funny noise when i hit v-tec
it happened the other day when i was going snowboarding driving there it was fine then when we where on the mountian i tried to pass a car down shifted to third going about 50 and when i poped it in the car was going and you could hear a noise coming from my motor. the noise is kinda like a rattle . maybe like plastic fluttering really fast the car drives fine in the low gears its just when i hit v-tec please help. And i have a b16a3 in a 92 vx

It's VTEC, not v-tec, first of all. Secondly, it sounds like one of your gaskets started to blow out and now it hits a harmonic when you get into the VTEC RPMs. Happens all the time.
Try looking around your engine bay for loose objects and then replace your manifold gaskets when you get some spare time.
