HELP ... Friend failed CO section of emissions test
My friend failed the CO section of the emissions test for the second time. Passing is 9 kg/m3 but he got 17 kg/m3. He passed the NOx and HC sections. His car also bogs at low rpm (3000 and below). He has a d16y8 in a 92 cx. We changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, fuel filter, oxygen sensor, and retarded the timing 2 degrees below stock. The guy at the inspection station said the bogging is most likely the reason it failed. Do you guys have any ideas on how to make this car pass/ fix the bogging problem? We're stumped. TIA

Re: HELP ... Friend failed CO section of emissions test (crx00)
changing the catalytic converter would be my first guess. as for passing the test, just leave a ben franklin on the dash, that always used to work for me
