Hey guys, here's the problem. I'm driving a 2000 Civic Ex, and I have 16 x 8 rims with 205/45/16 rubber.

Their rubbing in the back for sure, and maybe in front too (but not sure about the front).

My big question is, rolling my fenders should solve this problem right, and if so, I want this done professionally, so what should I look for to get this done right? A body shop, or something. I'm in the Buffalo, NY area, if anyone knows of a place.

And last question, how much does having this done cost?

what offset are your wheels? I think it should be around a 42-45 mm offset, especially since you have an 8 inch wide rim, maybe a bit more.

i dont know hwo your running a 205 tire on a 9 inch wide rim since 7 inch wide run 205, its prolly 7 wide

I'm not really sure, is there a way to find out? The tires do stick out ever so slightly, but my friend had those rims on his Civic SI and it didn't rub on his. But with the upgraded suspension, that probably is what stopped it from rubbing.

Here's a pic if it can help at all. Maybe you've seen these around, my friend bought his car new with them. (Special Edition from Honda, I think his was a 99 civic SI)



I really love the look, but they rub. I just wished I knew that they rubbed a bit with my EX before I bought them and paid 750$. Ohh well, now i have to try to figure something out to stop it from rubbing.

I do have Ractive adjustable coil overs, but their all the way up to decrease the rubbing.

They are 8 inches wide, two people have measured them, and both of them got the same 8 inches.

And I wasn't sure about the 205's either, because when I bought bran new tires last week, it said the 205's were for up to 7.5 inches, or something like that, but that's what was on it before, and they were just fine. So I stuck with them.

when you measure you cant measure tire width, youd have to remove the tire and measure actual rim with, the tire will be a little wider that the rim, bt i dont think honda made any OEM rim 8 inchs wide

They measured it a tool to measure the rim, not the tire. It looked like oversized scissors but they curved in.

One of the times they were measured, it was for balancing of the wheel, and that's what he put into the machine, 16x8.

I'm not saying there's no possibility their not 8, but I'm thinking it would be odd that two people with the right tool measured incorrectly.

And also, it might not be made by Honda, made by someone else, and Honda slapped a Honda logo on it, and sold it as a special edition rim, which is what I think it was.

I rolled my fenders with a baseball bat, and i have to say its not the prettiest but i cleared a 205 tire on my hatch after some creative molding.

got a rear camber kit? if so that could be the prob. The rear can be a little bit more negative and not have tire wear cuz its not as weighted as the front. ANd I dont think those are 8's. 205 could not fit on an 8 safely.

Definitley not 8in wide because your sidewall would be stretching outward a lot with 205's.
