Default Help! Emissions problem!

Let me start this thread of by saying i failed the test and it was because i had a test pipe instead of a cat. I switched out the cat for a stock one and i'm pretty sure i'll pass but the problem is my plates are now suspended and i don't wan't to go and them find out they are going to take my car or give me a ticket. Is there any way i could get some kind of extension? Any help is appreciated.

Tell the damn hippies to eat **** and tell the cops green house is a myth

Put your stock cat back on, convince them that their machinery is messed up, say you're running racing fuel, tell them that your cat is old, say it's not really gas; just green fog cast from the sun shining on the bogs of Saturn......

I had the same problem, although it was for my ECU not for emissions. Anyway, I just went to DMV and they gave me one of those temporary tags for smog. I don't know about Illinois, but in CA that's what they do. Took me about an hour, and now I have 2 months to fix the problem.

Are there any special papers that i should bring? In illinois you only get 3 chances to pass so i want to make sure it goes through smooth. Any tips to reduce the extra fuel not being burned?

What is with all these tests? I've never heard of this kind of stuff in Oregon. I've never heard of anyone ever having to take an emissions test my entire life. I took my cat off, I just have a straight pipe

Bring your title and your license. I had to bring my bill of sale, but that's just because I just bought the car. Not sure about Illinois, but I just needed the title and my license. They will have to verify your VIN so make sure and bring the car you're talkin about.
