An E.L.D. detects the load on your altenator, and this load is translated to your ECU which helps the ECU determine the right amount of output power to have the car run at idle. Usually when you have this code your altenator is going bad is not providing constant power, from what I understand its located in the fusebox on most Hondas.

Good luck with it.

Some hondas actually have the ELD inside the ECU or inside the alternator itself. It all depends on year and model. Once you figure that out, find an ecu diagram for your car and check to see if its in there. If not then youre gonna have to replace the alternator or the piece in your fuse box.

I posted about this a while ago, and found out my ELD was in 1 of 2 places: ECU or Alternator.

Hope that helps some

The ELD is under the underhood fusebox.

Have you had the charging system thoroughly checked out? BTW crossposting in multiple forums is sometimes frowned upon.

Homeboy is right on. And its in the fusebox. Check the Alternator wiring for resistance. (I had a break in the white 10ga power wire, it was grounding out on the passenger side shock tower) Check the alternator itself too.
